Supplies
Happy Mail is designed to be easy, approachable, and low-prep.
Most projects can be done with simple supplies you likely already have at home! If you don't have everything, don’t worry. It’s easy to improvise. Start with what you have and add more over time if you'd like.
BASIC SUPPLIES I RECOMMEND HAVING
• Pencil & eraser
• Pencil sharpener
• Black Sharpies (regular + fine point)
• Ruler
• Scissors
• Glue sticks + liquid glue
• Markers (thick + thin)
• Colored Pencils
• Watercolors
• Paint brushes (various sizes)
• Oil pastels
• Paint sticks (I like Kwik Stix)
• White paint pen (I like Posca)
• Tempera or acrylic paint
(Tempera is washable. Acrylic has richer color, but can stain clothing.)
PAPER
• 9" × 12" watercolor paper
• 9" × 12" multimedia paper
• Colored construction paper
You absolutely do not need fancy supplies or specific brands for projects to turn out great.
Creativity matters far more than having the “perfect” materials.
